English Whisky Guild

Briggs of Burton is proud to announce its collaboration with the English Whisky industry by hosting the English Whisky Guild (EWG) at our Global Technical Centre. This marks a significant moment as English Whisky, an industry currently comprising over 49 distilleries either actively distilling or planning to start within the next two years, continues to expand and evolve.

The EWG, a recently formed representative body for the English Whisky sector, includes 23 members and 14 Board members. These members represent a diverse range of distilleries, both large and small, encompassing the full spectrum of the industry. The Guild plays a crucial role in shaping the future of English Whisky, emphasising the importance of a sustainable and responsible supply chain for the sector’s growth and prosperity.

As a founding associate member of the EWG, Briggs of Burton is at the forefront of this exciting industry. We are honoured to offer a platform for members to meet, network, and build relationships with our board and the wider membership. These interactions are pivotal in fostering collaboration and innovation within the whisky community.
