Graduate Training Scheme

We offer a number of opportunities for graduates seeking practical engineering experience

We have graduate engineering opportunities in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, and Electrical Engineering, in addition to roles in Technical Sales, and Project Management.

Are you looking for a different engineering challenge?

The Briggs Engineering Graduate Training Scheme encourages our young engineers to develop their practical engineering skills through supporting the delivery of global projects across a number of industries.

As part of their growth, we actively encourage our engineers “to get chartered” in their respective disciplines by following a structured training programme. This accreditation will enable our engineers to engage with leading bodies working towards their full membership and becoming chartered. We are working with the following institutions: Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE), Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) and Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET)

Briggs of Burton are a leading global process engineering company working in the Brewing, Distilling, Food, Pharma and Biotech industries. Our graduate engineers have the opportunity to work on turnkey engineering projects around the world.

You might be working on a tequila distillery project in Mexico, a complex pharmaceutical project in Europe or a Brewing project in Australia. No two days are the same at Briggs. If you are full of engineering spirit then we want to hear from you. Get in touch by filling out the simple enquiry form below.

Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE)

Briggs of Burton are working with the IChemE to support our talented Chemical Engineers progress to getting a Chartered Engineer status. The Briggs Engineering Graduate Training Scheme is fully accredited under the IChemE ACTS programme and will be delivered from our Global Technical Centre in Burton on Trent. This accreditation will enable our process engineers to engage with the IChemE through working towards full membership as Chartered Chemical Engineers (MIChemE) and benefit from mentoring and Get Chartered sessions.

Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE)

The Briggs Engineering Graduate Training Scheme is registered under the IMechE MPDS programme and will be delivered from our Global Technical Centre in Burton on Trent. This will enable our mechanical and project engineers to engage with the IMechE through working towards full membership as Chartered Mechanical Engineers (MIMechE) and benefit from mentoring and training sessions.

Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET)

Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET)

The Briggs Engineering Graduate Training Scheme is registered under the IET PDS programme (through our IMechE MPDS registration) and will be delivered from our Global Technical Centre in Burton on Trent. This will enable our electrical and software engineers to engage with the IET through working towards full membership as Chartered Engineers (MIET) and benefit from mentoring and training sessions

“I have always been passionate about supporting our young engineers with their professional career development. The Briggs Engineering Graduate Training Scheme encourages our engineers to put theory into practice.”
