Happy International Women in Engineering Day
Our global team celebrated the inspiring and diverse female workforce at Briggs of Burton Group who help to deliver engineering excellence everyday. The ladies across the business celebrated International Women in Engineering Day on the 23rd June 2021 by raising the profile of Women in Engineering by taking part in selfies and group photos from our new Global Technical Centre through to our offices in Rochester, NY.
Katy Bragg talks about her role and her advice to young women on INWED 2021
To continue celebrating #INWED21, we spoke to our International Sales Manager, Katy Bragg who talks about her experience in driving sales across the world and turning Briggs’ strategic growth plan into action. She further discusses being a female leader in a growing engineering company and her advice to young women wanting to join the engineering industry. She highlighted;
“My advice to young women would be to not be too fixated or put too much pressure on yourself or the exact path when you start out. I think you need to try different avenues to find the best fit for you.”
“I’ve always been very fortunate in my career, and I’ve been supported and given the opportunities to develop and grow and so I would like to think I can create a similar environment to inspire and empower other women to be able to make a difference”
