Briggs Distilling team make solid progress at the Shanghai Bacchus Distillery in China

At the end of 2020, McMillan Coppersmiths and Fabricators were busy manufacturing and shipping four shiny copper pot stills, spirit safes and condensers for the Shanghai Bacchus Project in Chengdu, China.  We caught up with Will Roden, Electrical Engineer, who is currently on site and has shared some fantastic photos showing off both the project scale and also his eye and interest in photography.

The copper distillation equipment has safely arrived on site and is currently being installed. The Briggs Engineering team are working hard to prepare the distillation and spirit storage areas and working towards pre-commissioning checks after the Chinese New Year (Friday 12 February) holiday. They are on track to start the full commissioning phase of the project in early March.

It’s always great to see the team’s #EngineeringSpirit working on this impressive turnkey project in China and keeping safe during these challenging circumstances.
